Meryl-Lynne Colborne

Principal: Financial Empowerment and Monitoring and Evaluation

Meryl-Lynne joined DNA Economics in 2024 as a Principal in the Financial Empowerment and Monitoring and Evaluation (FEM-E) Practice. She has over 20 years of experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating development programmes in the public sector across the transport, socio-economic development, tourism and environmental sectors. To date, she has led more than 20 monitoring and evaluation projects for provincial government and public entities. Her work at DNA has primarily been focused on socioeconomic development and consumer financial education. Her areas of specialisation include monitoring and evaluation, public administration, and project management.

Meryl-Lynne holds a Master’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation Methods (cum laude) from the University of Stellenbosch as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Stellenbosch School of Public Leadership. She is also a member of the South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA).
