Lauralyn Kaziboni is the Deputy Team Leader of the International Economic Partnership (IEP) Programme within the Donor Programme Management Practice Area at DNA Economics. In this role, she supports the coordination of research, policy engagement, and strategic partnerships to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development in South Africa. She is a trained economist with a Master’s in Development Economics and +10 years of experience spanning academic research, economic consulting, and strategic advisory. Over the course of her career, Lauralyn has worked on close to 40 projects across the region and contributed to both national and international policy platforms. She has also authored several conference papers and co-authored two book chapters with Oxford University Press and HSRC Press. 

 

Lauralyn began her professional journey at the Centre for Competition, Regulation and Economic Development (CCRED) in 2013. She went on to spend five years at DNA Economics, contributing to and leading projects on industrial and trade policy, climate change, and monitoring and evaluation. She then went on to join Ernst & Young in June 2023 as a Senior Manager in the Strategy and Transactions Service Line.  She has since returned to DNA Economics, bringing back a broadened skill set and a commitment to high-impact, policy-relevant work.
